A few years ago, I had the amazing opportunity to host and organize a two-day global meeting of IT leaders and managers. People came from all over the world - China, India, Africa, Europe, South America, and North America - to attend this annual meeting, which was held in a different location each year. Over time, I became friends with many of them, and it was always exciting to see them in person.
But what really kept me up at night during the planning process was the evening event. I wanted to do something special, something that would bring everyone together and create memories that would last a lifetime. Of course, I needed to figure out who could play instruments, so I brought in some pros to help. But I also distributed small percussion instruments throughout the room so that everyone could participate. The result was amazing - over 150 people from different cultures and backgrounds coming together to create music and memories. It was truly a night to remember.
Not only did we have a blast, but we also built a global team that used that moment to create a bond and new friendships for life. It's an experience that we still talk about today and always brings a smile to our faces.
